slasher: (talk about your revolution ⚔)
Anri Sonohara wields the sentient blade Saika, which, by cutting people, can create what amounts to child-Saika in their souls, which she, as the "Mother" Saika, can control akin to sleeper agents when they're nearby. Anri is actually a pretty okay person, so she, you know, doesn't want to brute-force overriding people's free will for shits and giggles, but considers it to be necessary in some situations.

Of course, Saika doesn't work on everyone; particularly, at this point, it's unknown whether Saika functions on non-humans. A particular fearlessness or resistance to pain can also render one immune, since Saika uses people's pain and fear to break through mental resistance they might have had.

Please comment here if you have any particular feelings or ideas about your character's interaction with Saika! I know it's kind of a gameplay-changing power so it is totally cool if you opt out just on personal preference. It's not something that will come up that often, so don't worry about it if it's not something you want to deal with.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SKY OF DIAMONDS PEOPLE: Anri doesn't have the actual katana in-game, but can use Saika's power through sharp objects like other swords or knives. Without the physical blade, her power is somewhat less reliable in that it will sometimes fail (which is to say if you opt out, then if she tries it, it'll just "fail") and that the Saika-children will expire after some pre-arranged, plot-convenient amount of time rather than be indefinite.
